Over the past couple of years, as REI opened stores in new cities, we collaborated with local breweries and nonprofits to offer limited-edition beers. I worked on the branding for these projects, developing names, concepts and copy.

These were a lot of fun and offered the opportunity to work outside of REI’s typical creative guidelines. Also, I usually ended up getting a free beer out of the deal.
